Multiple visa trouble for China?
There's only single entry, double, and multiple entry available. My suggestion is if your travel gaps isn't very long from one another, you may opt to have a multiple entry good for 6 months (F visa). However, your application will be based on many things such as if you have many previous travels to China before, or have been doing business with China (import / export). The other option is to acquire double entry first, and then apply for another single entry later, you'll need proofs of your itinerary such as plane tickets. Hong Kong does have a different visa, but most countries don't need one in entering Hong Kong unless you plan on staying longer than the period of time allowed for each incoming visitor depending on the country or citizenship. If you wish to acquire a "China visa" from Hong Kong to get back inside China, you can do so in Hong Kong and preferably before you enter China soon. I don't really remember the costs but it shouldn't be very expensive.
